How smart is it to suspend a scholarship program in the states that supported your candidate? The suspension of the USDA 1890 Scholar Program would have affected Huntsville’s very own Alabama A&M University, as well as farmers in Alabama. It is a low-cost way to improve agricultural practices and increase revenue in states with land-grant universities. Thankfully the program has been reinstated.
